Thomas R. Yocum (Tom) is an experienced attorney with decades of experience in construction and business law. He is admitted to the Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida bars and is an active member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Northern Kentucky Bar Association. Tom's legal practice spans a wide range of services for businesses, contractors, and developers, including: - Business Formation and Strategy- Arbitration, Mediation, and Litigation - Contract Negotiation, Drafting, and Interpretation - Claims- Mechanic's Liens- Bond Claims Being a recognized authority in the field, Tom is a panel member of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) for construction disputes and serves on the AAA Construction Advisory Council. He was appointed by the Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court to serve as a referee in construction cases in the Ohio Court of Claims.

Tom has written over 200 published articles on business and construction law, appearing in legal and trade journals. He is also a frequent speaker and educator on industry-related legal topics. Tom is active in a variety of associations such as the construction Specifications Institute of Cincinnati, the Allied Construction Industry, and the American Subcontractors Association. Tom also has extensive experience in insurance law matters, particularly as it relates to the construction industry. Tom earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1979 and also studied at California Western School of Law in San Diego. He holds a B.A. summa cum laude from The Ohio State University, where he also studied internationally at Oxford University (New College) and in the People's Republic of China. A lifelong learner with a global perspective, Tom has traveled to five continents and brings an international awareness to his work in construction and business law. Tom and his family live in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, where Tom's involvement in the community has included roles at his local church such as trustee, chairman of the administrative board, and chairman of the finance committee, as well as involvement in various charitable activities.
